We-Refi.com is committed to your right to privacy.  To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.
  

What Information Do We Collect?

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the We-Refi.com website. When you visit our site, you can choose to complete a full application, a request for us to analyze your mortgage, ask us to call you, or you can choose to call us. On some pages, you can provide information to help us provide mortgage financing for you, analyze your finances with our mortgage calculators, make requests, and register to receive materials. This site does use cookies, but these cookies are NOT tied to personally identifiable information and are only used to assist in mortgage calculations and form completion.

 

The Way We Use Information and your choices regarding the collection of the information:

We use the information you provide about yourself when applying for a mortgage only to complete that transaction. This includes the information necessary to perform a credit check.  We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.

The parties with which we share the most sensitive information include credit reporting agencies, and underwriters that may approve or decline your loan.  Consequently, we supplement the information you provide to us with information from third-party credit reporting agencies regarding your credit history as reported by those credit reporting agencies.

As required, we may confirm employment with your employer, and financial assets with the asset holder.  We do not share credit or debt information with these parties. 

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.  For example, we have a Rate Watch function on our site.  You will be notified once, via email, when rates reach your requested level. 

We use the phone numbers you provide to call you if we have questions regarding your application, or if you have asked us to call you.

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers, such as which pages where the first page viewed, browser type, and your computer operating system. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals or could be tied to personally identifiable information.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

You have an option not to provide this information over our website.  You can provide the information via the phone, or via mail.

Keep in mind that the more complete information you provide, the more accurate mortgage quote we can provide.  Some information is required by law before we can offer a firm loan commitment.

     

Do We Sell Your Information?

No.  Your information is used only in connection with the application of this mortgage transaction.  In the future we may contact you via email or phone for additional mortgage information.  You will have an opportunity to decline or opt-out of these contacts.  You will not be contacted by a third party, except as required for this transaction.  The third parties that may contact you include the appraiser to schedule an appraisal of your home, the attorney to schedule the loan closing, and the financial institution that may service your loan. 

       

Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
  

• Secure Web Pages - All of the pages on our web site that ask for your personal financial information are delivered to your browser through HTTPS, a secure server communications layer. You can check this encryption by checking for the key (Netscape) or lock (Internet Explorer) icon on your browser.  If your browser’s security feature has been turned on, a pop up box will notify you when you enter a secure page.
   
  
• Encryption - When you send your personal financial information to us, it is protected by SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Technology. SSL does not allow anyone to intercept and read your personal information. When you send your information to us, SSL encrypts it (translates the data into a string of gibberish characters). Only we can decode the encryption.
   

• Firewall Protection - Your financial information is not kept on our web server, but on a different computer that is separated from the Internet. Even in the unlikely event that our web site is "hacked," your data will still remain securely out of reach.
   
• Password Protection - Any access to your loan status is password protected and restricted to the loan specialist assigned.  All employees are kept up to date on our privacy policy.   

Our Commitment To Children's Privacy:

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information

You will be sent a paper copy of the mortgage application you submit online so that you can review the information for completeness and accuracy.  You can change or update that information while your loan is in process by contacting your assigned loan consultant at 877-523-3886. You can access all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain by contacting our customer service department. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information.

You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by sending us a request to correct the information in error.  Keep in mind that we will require proof of your identity to correct the information in error.

To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.

We do not keep your personally identifiable information on our website.

We reserve the right to modify or amend the Privacy Statement.  If we are going to use your personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify you via email.

In addition, if we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our database, we will post a prominent notice on our web site notifying users of the change. 
In some cases where we post the notice we will also email users, who have opted to receive communications from us, notifying them of the changes in our privacy practices.
